For over a decade I've worked as a chiropractor. I've spent my career studying structure and energy in the human body: how a system holds together, where it carries load, where it breaks down, and how energy moves through it to keep everything functioning properly. And this way of thinking didn't stay confined to the human body.

The more experience I gained, the more I noticed the same principles operating at every scale. A body, a business, a society, a power grid: each is a system where structure and energy are inseparable. When energy is wasted or misdirected, the structure suffers. When it flows to where it's needed, the whole system gets stronger.

This interest directed me toward a specific problem: the world wastes an enormous amount of energy in places it can't easily be used, while the demand for computing power grows faster than the infrastructure to supply it. Energy stranded on one side, demand strained on the other, and very little connecting them: the same structural mismatch I had thought about for years, at a planetary scale.

EnergySignal is what I have built to act on that observation. It maps wasted and underutilised energy against the computing infrastructure that needs it and works to connect the two.​
